Taycheedah School

First School in Fond du Lac County - originally located in Taycheedah. The school served the are for many years, and later became the Taycheedah Community Center. It now stands on the grounds of the Galloway House and Village, as an example of a law office. The school bell originally came from a steamboat owned by Henry Conklin, which exploded on the Hudson River. The bell was the only think that Conklin could salvage from the steamboat, and he brought it with him to Wisconsin in 1842.
