Executive Director Hired

The Fond du Lac County Historical Society (FCHS), a private non-profit 501(c)3 organization, was pleased to recently announce the hiring of Ben Giles to the position of Executive Director.

This July, in anticipation of the need to hire an Executive Director, and to help offset the decline of operating revenue caused by the COVID-19 virus, the FCHS Board approached local business donors who agreed to permit a portion of existing capital campaign donations to be redeployed to support operating expenses. 

In August, the FCHS Board learned of Ben Giles’ availability and, at the recommendation of the FCHS Board’s Personnel Committee who interviewed Ben, extended an offer of employment as Executive Director.

The FCHS Board is excited to bring Ben’s creativity, passion, and leadership to the FCHS.
